How to Choose the Right Technology

Don’t think of good or bad technology. Think of appropriate technology. Technology is fit for purpose if it works well within the constraints it operates under. Some constraints are technical, but many of them are human. Just because people in IT can figure something out doesn’t mean that the intended users can.

I’m passionate about helping people and organizations use appropriate technology to achieve their goals. I work with individuals and companies around the world in many ways, for example:

  • Evaluating business cases
  • Improving architecture
  • Ensuring successful rollout
  • Finding pragmatic solutions when things don’t go as planned

One of the ways I communicate is through the Technology That Fits newsletter. I share interesting stories about technology and the lessons we can learn from them. I hope you want to widen your horizon and join me in helping our profession move forward. Sign up here.
